À propos
"You Can't Talk in Mittens" is a burlesque tale—the tragic comedy of a hearing person and a deaf person stuck in a broken elevator. One can't hear; the other doesn't sign. To understand each other, they can rely on a shared sensibility: choreography!
Anthony Guyon, a deaf actor, and Denis Plassard, a talkative dancer, present a personal account—the epic tale of their first encounter. Through powerful words, signs, and movements, they recount how they met inside a modern elevator—one lacking air conditioning— an elevator equipped with a screen showing advertisements for vacations in the islands.
When the elevator breaks down, they find themselves face to face, forced to communicate.
This duo is a truly bilingual creation, a double one-man show in 4 m².
A program presented as part of a partnership between C’61 and Flers Agglo.
