La Chapelle du Quartier Haut was originally the convent of the nuns of Saint-Maur or black sisters who came to Sète in 1728 to teach many poor girls from the neighbourhood. Desacralized, it became at the beginning of the 20th century, the Practical School of Commerce and Industry, then the Technical College.
