À propos
As part of the 12th edition of Festival PasSage, discover "Une île." Inspired by a real-life expedition in 2016 in search of the island of Utopia (Le Radeau Utopique), Simon Gauchet and Nathan Bernat invite local schoolchildren to repeat the journey in their company. An iconoclastic and eccentric geography teacher, Madame Hytholdée introduced generations of pupils to the joys of imaginary cartography and dreamlike escapism. Before she died, however, she sent a book - Thomas More?s Utopia - to some of her former pupils. When they meet again on the day of her funeral, they discover geographical coordinates that revive the memory of her teaching, and they understand that Madame Hythlodée is proposing that they make one last journey in her company. It is this very journey that Nathan is about to recount, in words, music and images, to today?s students. For adults and teenagers aged 11 and over.
